Almost every backtester exposes a single risk-per-trade field and treats it as settled. In a real account risk is a range, not a number: it varies by branch, by conviction, by regime, by how deep the drawdown is, and by how much of the authorised pool is already committed to positions that have not closed. This laboratory models risk the way it actually behaves.
